Considered to be the Gateway to the Columbia Gorge, Troutdale is the Portland Metro’s most northeastern city before the majestic beauty of the Columbia River Gorge takes over. A quaint, hillside town, it overlooks the Columbia River and overlays the jagged turns and twists of the Sandy River. As a town with yesteryear charm, it also has great access to the Sandy River and the only outlet mall in the Portland Metro. In addition, Troutdale is home to McMenamin’s Edgefield, a sprawling property that includes a historic hotel, restaurants, spa, brewery, wine cellar, live music and two par-3 golf courses.
In recent years Troutdale began attracting bigger companies to its convenient location. For example, Amazon’s largest PDX Metro facility opened in Troutdale in 2018. Above all, the city’s convenient location overlaying the freeway and proximity to the airport make it ideal for expansion.

Glen Otto Park offers great access to the Sandy River. Above all, it offers low-key, recreational fun and is the most-used park in the city. It is located on the east end of the historic downtown strip at 1102 E Historic Columbia River Hwy, Troutdale, OR 97060.
Explore the Sandy River Delta in Troutdale. Offering hiking, biking, wading, fishing and horseback riding, this 1,400-acres of land sit as the gateway between the Portland Metro and the Columbia River Gorge.

The Columbia Gorge Outlets is the only outlet mall in the Portland Metro and is located at 450 NW 257th Way, Troutdale, OR 97060. It is conveniently located just 15 miles east of Portland.
The Imagination Station is city park with a state of the art play area for children. It was rebuilt in 2018 after a fire damaged it beyond repair. A great place for children and families to gather, it is located at 1900 SW Cherry Park Rd next to the high school.
