Hillsboro Hops (Baseball)
As a part of the new Major League Baseball’s Professional Development League, in 2021 The Hillsboro Hops have taken a major step up to become the Arizona Diamondbacks Single-A Advanced affiliate. This means the Hops will begin playing a longer, 132 game season rather than the shorter 76 regular game season of years past. Make sure to catch a game at Ron Tonkin Field.
Hillsboro Parks
Spend some time exploring the Jackson Bottom Wetlands Preserve. Enjoy a family friendly Wetlands Exploration Day, take the littles on a StoryWalk, tap into the wonder of Geocaching, or simply spend the day in nature amongst the various wildlife that calls the preserve home.
Orchard Park is home to Hillsboro’s first 9-hole Disc Golf Course, which is open from dawn to dusk daily.

Special Events
In July and August, enjoy Concerts in the Park on Thursdays, while you can also enjoy Pix in the Parks on Fridays in the month of August.
Between November and January, the city plays host to two winter themed events. Winter Village happens at Jerry Willey Plaza while Lightopia takes over Gordon Faber Recreation Complex.

Hillsboro hosts two Farmers markets each weekend between late April to October. Choose between the Downtown Hillsboro market on Saturdays between 9-1 or at Orenco Station market on Sundays between 10-2.
