Things to do in Battle Ground WA
Battle Ground Lake State Park is a 280-acre camping park located in the foothills of the Cascade Mountain foothills. The lake access includes a shallow swim area within eyesight of the picnic area. The park includes great access to the spring-fed lake as well as hiking, biking, camping, horse trails, a playground and kitchen areas.
Battle Ground is also home to Clark County’s oldest park, Lewisville Regional Park. Built during the Great Depression as a part of the Works Progress Administration recreational center project, the park still includes structures built in the late 1930’s. The park was built with a rustic charm meant to melt to the surrounding landscape and beauty. The 154-acre park is located along the banks of the East Fork Lewis River.
Embracing that small town feel, the city hosts all sorts of annual community events for its residents. From the summer time Harvest Days, Halloween Fright Night, a holiday tree lighting ceremony and other festive holiday events, to a special Veterans Days Ceremony. They also include all sorts of fun extras such as a monthly Family Movie Night, various kids activities, an annual Summer Playground Program, and Craft Classes.
