Living in Oregon City
As one of Oregon’s oldest cities, Oregon City has a rich history that extends back to the Oregon Trail. With a coveted location along the banks of the Willamette River, it includes a 23-acre industrial site is in the early phases of being transformed in a multi-purposed landscape. It will include a vibrant downtown expansion and a river walk that showcases the gorgeous views of the Willamette Falls. Sadly, this view has been closed off to the public for many years.
Oregon City’s downtown area sits between the Willamette River and a steep bluff that rises to its south. It includes many local businesses that range from quaint shops to a variety of restaurants. Aesthetically, the city’s suburban sprawl is a melding of eras it has survived since it’s inception by the Hudson Bay Company in 1829.
