Home to Portland’s most iconic bridge, the St. John’s Bridge, North Portland spans the strip of land between the Willamette and Columbia Rivers to the N and NW of downtown Portland. It is a diverse mix of residential, industrial and commercial use that has seen quite a bit of transformation over the past twenty years. North Mississippi St is a great representation of that transformation. It is packed with restaurants, bars, shops and more. North Williams Ave has also seen a complete about face in its landscape. Old Portland homes and shops have been leveled to make way for block after block of mixed-use spaces bringing all sorts of new restaurants and shops with a variety of condos and apartments stacked above them.
