Moving to Clark County WA
While Clark County actually resides in Washington State, it is very much considered a part of the Portland Metro. It encompasses the entire northern suburbs of Multnomah County with 3 of it’s city an active part of the Portland Metro.
While it has always drawn residents due to it’s proximity to Portland, and its affordability, the recent housing boom has brought it’s pricing much more in alignment with with its Oregon counterparts. One big benefit of living in Clark County is the state’s lack of an income tax. When you add on Oregon’s lack of a sales tax, the benefits are even sweeter.

The Vancouver Mall, located of SR-500, is home to both shopping and entertainment. Major retailers include Macy’s, Hobby Lobby, JCPenny, and Old Navy. Entertainment includes an AMC Movie Theater (formally Cinetopia) and the new Round 1 Bowling & Amusement.
Downtown Camas is home to a whole list of local shops and boutiques that make for a fun day of shopping. The Downtown Camas Association works tirelessly to host monthly events to make hanging out there even more fun! Plus it’s cute a button and just a great area to explore.

Explore the Vancouver Waterfront, an industrial area that has been revitalized into a new thriving part of the city. With stunning views along the Columbia River and a bevy of restaurants and tasting rooms, it’s a great place to spend the day. The Waterfront Park offers both a sprawling lawn and an sandy beach, the perfect place to spend a sunny day.
Clark County has 3 state parks within it’s borders that offer a variety of topography and recreation.
Explore a piece of history by taking a visit to Fort Vancouver, a former fur trading post established by the Hudson’s Bay Company. Explore the garden, visit the Village, and tour the Pearson Air Museum.
